Spring Poems
Spring
Robert McCracken
Today is the day when bold kites fly,
When cumulus clouds roar across the sky.
When robins return, when children cheer,
When light rain beckons spring to appear.
Today is the day when daffodils bloom,
Which children pick to fill the room,
Today is the day when grasses green,
When leaves burst forth for spring to be seen.

Unfolds whole loads
Of pink-white bloom -
It just explodes.
For three short days
Its petals last.
Oh, what a waste.
But what a blast.

It's Time for Spring
Bobbi Katz
My sweater's tight and itchy.
My snow pants are too small.
Last week I lost a mitten.
I can't find my scarf at all!
My woolen socks have lost their toes.
My boots have lost their tread.
And I have lost the love I had
For words like "skis" and "sled"!
But . . . my fishing rod still fits.
And . . . my baseball bat still hits.
I have a kite that wants to fly.
So . . . winter, call it quits!
原创
Pear blossoms fluttering,
Flailing in the wind,
Like snowflakes of winter
On infinite saplings.
Swallows warbling,
Sweeter than the trumpets of heaven.
Russet and lavender and violet,
Bobbing here and there.
Raindrops dotting the windowpane,
With frothy ice.
A gust of wind,
Lifting the flora,
Now a new span of green.
1.Spring
Spring is the best.
Spring is everywhere in East and West,
Spring has the smell of a treasure quest,
leaves of Spring in a treasure chest.
And all of the fruits of Spring,
I would really like to taste.
And the best thing about Spring is
that never in Spring is my class test.
Bohnishikha Ghosh
2.Spring
Spring is life
Spring is hope
So is love and
happiness.
Spring renews.
Without spring,
life is forlorn.
Spring is nostalgia
after bitter storm.
Put spring in your heart
Archie Greenidge
3.Our Old Spring
Our old spring is so stale
So boy does it have a tale to tell
Our old spring has seen people come and go
But it wants you to know
It will always be here
Ever so near
Our old spring is so bubbly and old
That nobody knows
Just how old it really is
Our old spring spurts on out
To run on out
Into the spring branch
Our old spring runs all year through
Just for you
Our old spring attracts all kinds of animals
But not any cannables
It has its share of snakes
That I would like to brun at the stake
Our old spring is too cold to swim in
Muchless to even get in
It will make a person so numb
So dont be dumb
Our old spring is so peaceful
That it makes you want to capture
it on an easel
I will always like this old spring
Because it makes me want to sing
Angela Hansard Stafford
4.
When Spring Goes By
The winds that on the uplands softly lie,
Grow keener where the ice is lingering still
Where the first robin on the sheltered hill
Pipes blithely to the tune, "When Spring goes by!"
Hear him again, "Spring! Spring!" He seems to cry,
Haunting the fall of the flute-throated rill,
That keeps a gentle, constant, silver thrill,
While he is restless in his ecstasy.
Ah! the soft budding of the virginal woods,
Of the frail fruit trees by the vanishing lakes:
There's the new moon where the clear sunset floods,
A trace of dew upon the rose leaf sky;
And hark! what rapture the glad robin wakes-
"When Spring goes by; Spring! Spring! When
Spring goes by."
Duncan Campbell Scott
5.Early in the Spring
Early in the spring
Not a leaf has struck the ground
The swallow has yet to sing
And the plowmen are no where to be found
Early in the spring
The forest stands still
And no creature dare come out
Before the sun rises o’er the hill
Early in the spring
The valley holds the morning dew
And its serenity may be captured
By only a certain few
Early in the spring
The trees turn, brown to green
Many changes occur
But few can be seen
Early in the spring
Or in the latter of fall
No matter the change of season
The evergreen stands tall
James Kent

SPRING
Thomas Nash
Spring, the sweet Spring, is the year's pleasant king;
Then blooms each thing, then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting, the pretty birds do sing,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The palm and may make country houses gay,
Lambs frisk and play, the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,
In every street theses tunes our ears do greet,
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
Spring! the sweet Spring!

A Poem on Spring
The long and lonesome winter nights
thawed in Spring's intoxicating breath
embalmed with the message of rebirth
loud in the breaking of riotous green.
Both earth and heaven are possessed
by the religion of life's resurgence
being preached in growing evidence
of chirping birds and released rivers.
I wish I were a blade of growing grass
under the ocean-blue sky unfrosted
by the first legion of sharp sunlight
shaking to the core winter's fortress,
Feeling the tender caress of breeze
drinking from the spring night rain.
And when you tread upon this field
I will be among the myriads waving.
