上世纪90年代，陆续把寻找音乐新灵感的吸管插进雷鬼乐里的中国摇滚音乐人越来越多：陈劲、窦唯、何勇、张楚、郑钧、王磊…… 者乐团一共举行了9次世界巡演，其中离中国最近的一次是1979年4月到5月的“巴比伦巴士”——曾在日本、新西兰、澳大利亚、夏威夷等地的巡演。
